Description
Our holiday houses – a spread hotel – are a complex of 7 lodges situated inside the National Park of Gran Sasso and Laga Mounts, along a track part of the Sentiero Italia (a 4000km complex of tracks across the whole Country).Laying down on a bank of Tronto's river, it looks southward and has an exceptional mild climate also in winter.
The houses are endowed with all the comforts: independent heating, equipped kitchenette, living room, TV, 4 of them have fire place as well. Furnishing is accurate even in details to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere: wooden beams wrought-iron bed heads, traditional local blankets. The lodges are open all the year, in the centre of the village and are at no more than 100m one from another.
The complex is endowed with a recreational sport centre, “La Trasanna”, with bar, hall for feasts, restaurant, dance floor, children games, enlightened tennis and five-a-side court and swimming pool.

Surroundings
The hamlet, in Amatrice's borough, is situated in the centre of a green valley inside the National Park of Gran Sasso and Laga Mounts. In the area there are two lakes: the small Scandarello (900m.a.s.l.) and the large one of Campotosto (1400m.a.s.l.).In the unpolluted frame of this plateau there are to visit charming XV century country churches with frescoes, as the Icona Passatore, St. Martin and Filetta's Madonna.

Food, wine and craftsThe name Amatrice is synonymous of gastronomy and it is the cradle of an ancient cookery tradition. The most known dishes are “spaghetti all'amatriciana” in several different versions, with or without tomato and eggs. Many other specialities are connected with sheep farming, dishes based on trimmings, and cheeses: sheep milk ricotta and cheese, pork cold cuts and lamb. In the surrounding exquisite honey can be found. |
