Assisi has St. Francis as its most famous citizen; to see among else is the abbey dedicated to him with frescoes restored after the devastation of the last earthquake in 1996. Arezzo, on the slopes of a prominence at the edge of a large basin, is mostly known for its medieval monuments, and it has a marvelous ancient part surrounded by old Medicee wall.
