Description

Comfortable and warm Apartment in a rural villa in the piedmont zone of Maiella Morrone Park. The accommodation has a garden and is surrounded by greenery and by the tallest mountains in Abruzzo (both the Maiella and Gran Sasso are visible).
The apartment is approximately 100 mq and is lacking in architectural barriers, having been developed completely in the ground floor, with reserved and separate access from that of the owners' house that live on the upper floor. It is composed of a living area with kitchenette, a double bedroom with double bed, a double bedroom with twin beds, and a bathroom with shower. There is the possibility of a third bed in the rooms and a three-quarter sofa bed in the living room. You can also rent only one rooms, with the bathroom being shared.
The accommodation offers, other than a natural, fresh environment: in-room TV, use of the kitchen and electrical appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, iron, hair dryer), possibility of parking and bicycle/motorbike shelter, Internet connection. It allows for a quiet and comfortable stay, and at the same time, offers the possibility of enjoying the use of the sports facilities nearby.

The accommodation is in an excellent position for moving between the most beautiful towns in Italy that surround Sulmona. Itineraries recommended by us (all possible to carry out in a day):

Activities

In a very short distance from the accommodation it is possible to enjoy the use of many sports facilities: horse-riding center 300 m. away, covered and uncovered pool approximately 1.5 km away
covered and uncovered tennis courts appoximately 1.5 km away, walks in the mountains, when needed with a guide, ski facilities: Roccaraso (Aremogna) and Pratello about 30 km away, Passo S. Leonardo about 20 km away, cross-country skiing in the San Antonio Woods about 15 km away.

Food, wine and crafts

Among the first gastronomic specialties of our zone are the noteworthy first courses, such as maccheroni alla chitarra (guitar pasta), cardoon soup; lamb and/or goat cheese and egg, the "zolle" (floral scape of red garlic); typical cakes: Christmas ("scarponi" and "ceci ripieni", stuffed chickpeas, which are made from walnuts, chickpeas, cocoa, chocolate, and cooked wort), Easter ("fiatoni" made from cheese - ricotta tart - cheese cake), ferratelle, Sulmonese cassata. For those even hungrier there if the "Panarda", a demanding and gigantic feast of more than thirty courses that is commemorated during the course of the manifestions of the Giostra Cavalleresca that takes place at the end of July.
Typical products: Black truffle, Saffron, Red garlic, Cooked wort, Ratafià (liquor made from sour black cherries), Montepulciano wine, Sugar-coated almonds, sheep cheese.
