Rivalta Castle
In northern Italy, in Gazzola, a village in Piacenza's County, the Castle rises a little higher than Trebbia riverside, over which it is overlooking.
It still belongs to Counts Zanardi Landi, who have been owing it for the last seven centuries.
Entirely in brickwork, the building has a quadrangular plan, with a courtyard surrounded by a double order of loggias.
It is a sumptuous aristocratic hour with a splendid park all around.
Its over standing round tower appears from quite far arriving by the road, with its peculiar shape being the characteristic element of the building, as it is very different from other towers in the area.
It is possible to visit the great hall, the dining hall, the kitchen, the caves, the prisons, the sleeping rooms, the tower, the weapons hall, the gallery, the billiard room and the museum of military costumes.
