Description

The farm house, situated on the hills in front of Gubbio, may be reached following 8 km of a smooth country road crossing 2000 hectares of woods and pastures. It's in the core of a 35 hectares farm, recently re-converted to cultivation of woods, so that its products are the ones characteristic of underwood: mushrooms, black and white truffles, etc.
Guests are hosted in the XVIII century farm house, a stone simple but elegant building, reorganised in 2004 in 5 independent lodges for a total of 19 beds.

- Apartment 1 - Four rooms: double bedroom, two two beds rooms, large living room with period fire place, bathroom, private gazebo.
- Apartment 2 – Three rooms: two beds room, living room with double sofa bed and fire place, dinette kitchen, bathroom; the access is by means of a winding staircase, the entrance from a large panoramic outdoor paved area.
- Apartment 3 – Large two rooms: twin beds room, living room with double sofa bed and kitchenette, bathroom, wide private outdoor paved area.
- Apartment 4 – Two rooms: double bed room, living room with sofa bed and kitchenette, bathroom, panoramic private outdoor paved area.
- Apartment 5 – One room: large living room with double sofa bed, dining corner, kitchenette, bathroom and private terrace.

Surroundings

The farm house is in the immediate surroundings of Gubbio, a town that for its architecture represents a master-work of the pre-Renaissance society. Undamaged towers stand over the town, austere stone façades, Gothic churches and palaces characterise an extraordinary historic centre.
The town is waiting for you to show its monuments, its popular feasts, its Music and Theatre season, its Truffle Fair, its Antiquity market, shops and stands of craftsmanship and gastronomic local products.
The house is 40km from Perugia and Assisi, 100km from Spoleto, Todi and Urbino.

Activities

As the House overlooks the stunning valley of Chiascio river and is in front of Monte Cucco's Natural Park, it is possible to take promenades by foot, bicycle and horse riding.
The farm offers to guests a swimming pool, an equipped play area for children and adults, a “vita track” (a special track equipped for fitness).

Food, wine and crafts

For fans of cuisine the House organises:
– a guided course to discover eno-gastronomic and naturalistic elements of interest of the East Umbria area.
– a course truffles picking across the truffle Farm's reserve. During the search we stop to explain the traditional meaning of truffle picking, from the moment of finding them, to the marketing, to the final tasting.

Landscape: Hill	Booking Policy: After booking with Rural Journey a further 32% should be paid directly to the House by bank trasfert or paypal (e-bay system), that will be reimbursed in case of cancellation before the 30th day before check in, afterwards it will be lost. The sold at check in. No partial reimbursement in case of leaving before the end of the booked stay. A deposit of € 100,00 is due at check in, that will be reimbursed at check out.
