Description
An ancient farm house 2km from Bagnoregio in northern Latium where in 1221 St. Bonaventura was born. We are in Tuscia's country, an area rich of art and culture with many beautiful places to visit.
Our farm house is on three floors:
- On first floor: entrance with fire place, dining room, large living room with fire place, a bathroom for guests, kitchen-diner, laundry, cellar;
- on second floor: a double room with bathroom, a two beds room with bathroom, a room with two bunk beds (for 4), a room with double sofa bed, a bathroom, a small TV living room, a kitchen-diner, a large terrace;
- on third floor: one two beds room, a very large room with two beds and four additional poufs, wholly 6 beds, one bathroom.
Outdoor at guests' disposition: a large terrace, a fenced-in garden of approximately 5000sm, with a stone dining table, a big wood stove, indoor and outdoor parking, woodshed.

Surroundings
We are over side with Umbria region, at 4km from Civita of Bagnoregio, 26km from Viterbo, 15min by car from Bolsena lake, 10min from Montefiascone, 20min from Orvieto, one hour from Perugia and Siena.Not to loose in the surroundings:
Civita di Bagnoregio, the romantic “dying town”; Bagnoregio; Montefiascone with its wonderful church of San Flaviano; Bolsena with its castle and museum; the lake with its islands Martana and Bisentina; Gradoli and its huge XVI century castle, Mezzano's lake and its mineral and thermal water sources; Capodimonte and its Farnese castle; the elegant little town of Soriano nel Cimino, overlooked by Orsini's castle.
Beside, all around the area is full of very interesting small historic centres, Roman, Etruscan and Medieval archaelogical sites, important Renaissance monuments as Villa Farnese, Villa Lante in Bagnaia, Bomarzo's monsters Garden, thermal baths, and more...

ActivitiesFor fans of nature there is a very pleasant excursion on Mount Cimino, across woods of chestnut and beech trees, with some natural monument, as a beech tree 36m high and with 4,7m of circumference. These woods in autumn lighten up with dream colours and have a unique view of Tiber's valley.We are in an area full of history and rich of charming tracks to cover walking by car or bicycle or MB along the ancient medieval paths, among rocks and suspension bridges. The House also organises cultural trips. |
Food, wine and craftsAs for food and drink in the surroundings you will find everything. Tuscia is an area of hazels, mushrooms, chestnuts, very good potatoes, porks grown in the wild, lentils, cheeses and sheep milk ricotta cheese and, in general, of top quality agricultural products. To finish with, the famous Est Est Est wine. |
