Small hotel in the midst of the mountains of the Parco Nazionale dell'Alta Val Sesia, in a naturalistic park and in a true paradise for those who love trekking or fishing. In the spring, summer and autumn, Elisabetta and Carlo will greet you in a welcoming and comfortable environment where you may enjoy silence and refreshment under the beech trees, the small villages with the characteristic "beole" roofs, and the suggestive frescoes of the votive chapels.
The guests are accommodated in 10 luminous and comfortable rooms, all of which have a private bathroom, a telephone and internet connection.
The guests will have at their disposal a large room for meetings, an elevator, bar service, fax, tv room, and private parking. Moreover the reception has a safe where guests may ask to leave important objects. You may therefore enjoy the living room and the library while sipping a drink or playing chess, cards or one of the other games available. The guests will have at their disposal our small library where they may consult guides, maps and some volumes on the history of these mountains and valleys.

Surroundings

The hotel is 900m a.s.l. and 18 km from Varallo Sesia, in the very heart of Fobello, a small mountain village.
Fobello: home town of Vincenzo Lancia, it is situated on the margins of the Naturalistic Park of the Alta Valsesia, 15 km from Varallo.
Varallo: the Sacro Monte (the most ancient on of Northern Italy, 1491), the San Gaudenzio minster (13th Century), the picture gallery and the Natural Sciences Museum.
Alagna: approximately 40 km away and at the feet of the Monterosa mountain. Particularly interesting is its 13th Century Walser settlement.
Riva Valdobbia: approximately 30 km away. Important are its 13th Century parish of San Michele with frescoes by Melchiorre.
Lago d'Orta: approximately 40 km away. In it there is the Island of San Giulio.
Lago Maggiore: approximately 60 km away. Many are its natural attractions.
Distances: Vercelli 66 km, Novara 57 km, Lago d' Orta 30 km, Lago Maggiore 45 km, Milan 110 km, Turin 120 km, Genoa 200 km.

How to reach us through public transportation:
By train: the Valsesia is connected to the Novara-Varallo line. At Novara one may find trains for Milan, the Malpensa Airport, Turin, Mortara, Pavia, Alessandria and Genoa.
In Romagnano one may find trains for Turin, Arona and Sempione.
By bus: there are daily connections to Milan, Turin, Vercelli and Biella.
There are also seasonal connections fro Genoa, Ventimiglia, Vigevano, Lomellina, Riviera Adriatica, Florence and Rome.

Activities

The clear and uncontaminated waters of the Mastallone stream allow the most diverse techniques of fishing. The "conca di Fobello" is formed by four large valleys. There are innumerable possibilities for all different difficulty excursions. The territory of Fobello is included in the GTA-VIA ALPINA circuit.
Near the hotel there is a large sporting club where one may play soccer, tennis, volleyball, minigolf, bowls etc.

Food, wine and crafts

We serve, from 8 to 11 am a large continental breakfast in a large and welcoming room with many adornments and plants.

Close by there are excellent places where one may buy dairy products and an incredible variety of cheese (with uncooked milk, naturally fermented, etc.) or where one may buy local bread (prepared with natural rising agents).
