Description
It’s a lovely quiet newly restored flat within a stone’s throw of a lot of very famous landmarks.It is composed of a small hall, a well-equipped kitchen (fridge, cooker, toaster etc..), a bright double bedroom with a king-size bed, a room with a convertible bed-settee for two persons and a bathroom with shower.
Everything here is ready for you: bedroom linen, blankets, towels, table-cloths and kitchen equipment.
Something light to eat and drink will welcome you on your arrival just to relax after the journey.
The flat has central heating and ceiling fans, there is of course the TV, a radio with cassette player, the iron and a hair-dryer.
For your laundry, there is a nearby laundrette at cheap prices.

Surroundings
The apartment is in the earth of Venice. On the first floor overlooking the large Calle Ca’ Foscari. You will be immediately delighted by beautiful landmarks such as the Academy galleries, the School of San Rocco with Tintoretto paintings, the Church of Frari.
The whole area is quiet but lively, provided with restaurants, pizzerias, pastry-shops as well as smart original little shops, internet cafés, supermarkets, bakeries with a good standard of comfort and service.
From there you can walk or use the vaporetto (Venetian means of transport along the main channel – Canal Grande ) or simply the “Gondola/traghetto” to cross the Canal Grande (at 0.40 cents of euro only) which is really very near.
Car Parking in Piazzale Roma; the last place where cars can go. From there only 700 metres on foot or 20 minutes by Vaporetto number 1 getting off at S.Tomà Stop.
ActivitiesBeside the numberless artistic destinations of every epoch spread all over the city, a thick web of Vaporetti connects Venice with the other islands of the lagoon and with the inland, allowing you to make an endless number of small cruisers with the ordinary ticket of Vaporetto. Within an hour or little more by train you have other pearls of the Venitian area as Vicenza, Verona, Padua.... all reachable for a one-day trip.Moreover if you wish to enjoy sea, the famous Lido is there at half an hour of Vaporetto. |
Food, wine and craftsAt the daily market of Rialto you may find both the Adriatic sea fresh fish and the exquisite fruits and vegetables products of the inland, as well as some interesting ready made foods (roasted duck, horse dried meat, etc) or half-ready ones, to cook in your kitchen. At noon don't forget the aperitif rite. A spritz (a light alcoholic drink made with white wine, seltzer and bitter) washing down the appetizers. |
