Description

The House has been entirely reorganised in 2002 according to local architectural traditions, with wood, stone and brick on sight. It is made of two apartments with independent access, but they can, on request, communicate to make a unique wide lodging for two families or a group of friends. Both are entirely furnished in folksy style and have a fitted kitchen, both have an out door space furnished with table, chairs and sun umbrella.
"Lamponi" is a 64sm studio: the living room with lunch table and kitchenette, has a double sofa-bed, TV and shower bathroom; a wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine with two single beds.
"Mirtilli", of 126sm, is on two floors plus a mezzanine. At ground floor living room with fire place, two sofas, lunch table and TV, kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs the double room, two balconies and a mezzanine with two single beds.

Surroundings

The House is inside the "Campo dei Fiori (Field of flowers)" park and is an ideal base to visit the whole region of Lakes. This include Lake Maggiore, Como's Lake, Lugano's Lake, and the smaller lakes of Varese and Monate.
In the surroundings there are to visit interesting destinations as the city of Varese, St. Caterina del Sasso Sanctuary on Lake Maggiore, Ganna's Abbey, the astronomical observatory and the monastery of the Sacred Mount.
Milan is at approximately 65km, about one hour and half by car.

By train: Ferrovie Nord, Varese-Laveno Mombello line; the closest railway station is in Cocquio Trevisago, 3 Km far.
The closest bus station is in Orino village, about 1 Km far.

Activities

Trekking and hiking: the farm has direct access to the track in the Park going from Velate to Orino across the wood. From Orino also start the tracks Orino-Forte and Orino-Brizio, practicable by foot, mountain bike or horse riding. In the surroundings there are a pair of horse riding school which organise private or group excursions.
The bicycle path surrounding the whole Varese lake may be covered also by foot or skates; canoes may be hired at Schiranna.
In Laveno Mombello, on Lake Maggiore, a ferry brings to the Piemontese coast of the lake or to the Borromean islands, along the coast in Luino direction there are beaches where it is possible to take baths.

Food, wine and crafts

In summer we grow raspberries and blueberries, in autumn chestnuts and sweet chestnuts, all with organic methods certified by QC&I.
We also produce preserves of raspberries and blueberries, syruped blueberries, acacia and chestnut honey.
Fresh season fruits and the other products may be bought directly in the farm.

Booking Policy:

Only for a bill of Euro 300 or more: after booking with RJ, a further 30% should be paid directly to the House by bank transfer.
The 30% will not be reimbursed in case of cancellation.

At check in a guaranty of €150 is due, that will be reimbursed at check out.
