Description
Only 7min from sea, on a green 16hectares hill, the farm overlooks the Ionian sea with a stunning panorama: the pine trees wood meets the Calabrian olive trees which slope gradually toward sea, little by little replaced by marine pine trees and eucalyptuses which arrive to brush the beach.
The house has a private access to beach served by a shuttle service. It is a unique, wild place, we are in a ICS (International Communitarian Site): rare sea lilies, tracks of turtles threatened with extinction, bird watching turrets for very rare migrating birds.
The small independent houses have been obtained from the ancient shepherds' dwellings, are camouflaged in vegetation at 350mt one from another. They all have independent access, car parking, wood for fireplace, verandah furnished with table, chairs and hammock, adjacent paddock for one's dog (with shadowed area and dog shower, your pet, if well bred, may also stay in the verandah, in common areas and even in the beach).
Indoor wooden beams and terracotta tiles floors, accurate comfortable furnishing. The houses all have living room with kitchenette, fridge and dishware, embroidered little table clothes, fire place and junk bed, a double room with a possible third bed, private shower bathroom. Beside, hair dryer, TV, air conditioning, barbecue and garden tables. Common token washing machine.

Ospitality will be in an indipendent villetta with a spectaculary sea view, 2/4 beds (one double bed + bunk beds), kitchen, bathroom, wifi, private parking, external verandah, paddock for dog.
New Year's Eve dinner will be at 4 km from the property, in a masseria famous for his food (is on "slow food" guide). After dinner will be music.

Surroundings
On a hill at 7min from sea and 2min from the village of Cropani Marina.
We are on Arvani's hills, locality of Acqua di Friso, in Marine Cropani borough. It is a place of historical, archaeological and natural interest. Nearby the VI-V b. C. century Greek Sanctuary named Acqua di Friso, in the surroundings the ancient Cropani with the Cathedral and seven churches, the recent museum of Cropani's Antiquarium, Le Castella with the Aragonese fortress, the ancient school of ceramics in Squillace, the ancient Belcastro's walls and d'Angiò castle, the huge archaeological Park of Roccelletta, Santa Severina with its Norman castle, the national natural Park of Sila, the marine reserve of Isola Caporizzuto, the natural Park of Valli Cupe, and so on.

ActivitiesBoat trips exploring the crystal waters of the marine Reserve, scuba diving with qualified trainers, mini cruises and sailing classes, under water archaeology, promenades and guided trekking across woods, water falls and canyons. Following the 30km ancient carbon track going from our farm to the Sila mountains, MB to hire and off-road trips with bivouacs. In some periods yoga, sculpting and impromptu painting competitions.Very enjoyable for adults, moreover the place is a true paradise for children, as there are numberless activities foreseen for them: play area with see-saws on a 700sm lawn, sandy beach. Donkey riding trekking, trip to the Aquarium + multi-medial laboratory. Excursions with our qualified guide in Sila's National Park to sight squirrels and deers, learning to find edible mushrooms while respecting ground cover. Excursions in Valli Cupe's Park searching for the eye-glassed small salamander, the black pig and other animals. Sailing classes in the marine Reserve with qualified trainers. Period steam little train going across valleys and woods. In the surroundings: semi-Olympic swimming pool, tennis courts, five-a-side and horse riding (by agreement). |
Food, wine and craftsThe true granny's cuisine is served in summer in the panoramic Sun Area: every dish is prepared with fresh products of ours, our tomato and exquisite olive oil. In winter in candle light in the Shelter in the wood.Specialities: stuffed aubergines and squashes, “parmigiana”, “scillatelle”, “pasta china”, “patati e pippareddi, “pittanchiusa”, home made pizzas with our vegetables and fresh tomatoes. Gorgeous breakfast with fresh milk, our fruit preserves on grain bread, biscuits and cakes made according to ancient local receipts. On request vegetarian menu.
