Description

The manor farm dates back to the 17th century. It is composed of a manor entirely built in local stone, with star shaped vaults and of a group of “trulli” (small round houses of stone with a conical roof, typical of Apulia), which were originally used for farm works. The complex is on a 55-acres estate sited in panoramic position, among century-old olive trees, vineyards, little stone walls and wide woods.
A refined refurbishment converted this manor farm into a rural lodge, elegant and cozy, an ideal place for a wholly relaxing holiday.
Guests stay in the characteristic “Trulli”, restructured respecting traditions without renouncing to modern comforts, furnished with antique furniture and with private bathroom. They do not have a kitchen.
- Trullo Romantico: exclusively double trullo with private bathroom.
- Trullo Fienile: Very spacious double trullo with the possibility of adding an extra bed with private bathroom.
- Trullo Palmente: A couple of trulli with private bathrooms, the first trullo of entry is decorated with a table and 4 chairs and a double sofa bed, good for children; the second trullo has a bedroom. Accomodation ideal for 2/3/4 people.
-Trullo Stella: A couple of trulli with private bathrooms, the first trullo of entry is decorated with a table and four chairs and double sofa bed, good for children; the second trullo has a bedroom. Accomodation ideal for 2/3/4 people.

There is also an Apartment with kitchen available: very newly constructed (it is not a trullo!!!!), belonging to the same complex, very spacious (approximately 80 sq. meters), made up 2 independent bedrooms, bathroom, and a large kitchen; ideal for those who want to spend a few days in complete autonomy.

On the borderline between the districts of Brindisi, Taranto and Bari, the manor farm is the ideal base to visit the main tourist destinations of Apulia. The proximity of the crystal-clear waters of Adriatic sea will complete your holiday.

Surroundings

In the surroundings you'll have the opportunity to visit Ostuni, called "the white city", with its characteristic staircases and intricate little roads overlooked by the typical white houses; Alberobello, part of the UNESCO Heritage and wold famous for its Trulli; the Baroque Martina Franca.
With day trips you'll also be able to visit Matera and its famous historical “Sassi”, the place where the film “The Passion” was played, and of course Lecce and its Baroque centre and Salento's peninsula.
Many fairs and religious festivals go on mainly during summer. We'll only cite the feast in honour of SS. Patrons Martino and Comasia (twice in the year, November 11th  and july 4th) and Itria's Valley festival.

Activities

The large swimming pool measures approximately 23 m x 15 m in the widest parts, dimensions which allow for a great deal of space considering the very limited number of guests; it is a type of beach: the  water begins at 1 cm and rises progressively, thus it is ideal for children, the elderly, and for those who love to lay out at the shoreline as if it were the sea. It has a jacuzzi for 6 people.
Going on foot from the accommodation, you can take relaxing walks in the woods. In the vicinity are activities such as horse-riding, golf, boat trips, and guided excursions.

Food, wine and crafts

From the tendril of our farm we produce a white wine obtained with a mix of the raisins “Verdeca”  and “Bianco d'Alesano”, harvested, selected and used to produce wine with respect of the most ancient enological traditions.
With our olives we produce a top quality extra-virgin olive oil. The growing is a rigorously biological one, the harvest being hand made, and the absolutely  cold milling is made in the same day of the harvest in an ancient oil mill nearby.
