Description

This charming country house is enshrouded by an historical and natural atmosphere of a peculiar beauty. Mincio's river waters, with their speedy and regular stream, give to our senses a relax inviting to dream and lapse to nature draw.
The wonder evoked by this scenery is the introduction to the entrance of the Villa, an historical building of XVI century. The threshold crossed we are conquered by the magic of colours and ancient materials: wooden beams centuries old, terracotta tiles floors, stone-on-sight walls. It is an interior decoration result of the skilful restoration of an ancient mill of Medieval origin.
Apartments, suites and rooms, personalised as for furniture and colours, all have TV, satellite TV, air conditioning, wide shower bathroom, hair dryer. Apartments have kitchenette and fridge too.
The broad garden overlooks a small lake, on it a peninsula with a little beach for guests. In the village there is also a restaurant and pizza restaurant.
Here the guest may steep into the true richness: the one made of serenity, sensations, memories, for an experience that will delight the heart of them who will try it.

Surroundings

The Villa is in Mincio's river park, overlooking the river which here forms a small lake. The natural environment deserves a promenade in the silence along the river or, by bicycle, following the bike track connecting Peschiera del Garda to Mantua along Mincio's river.
Nearby are two Medieval villages among the most beautiful in Italy: Borghetto and Castellaro Lagusello. The village of Volta Mantovana is at 2km, upon the hill there is the Gonzaga Palace, ancient summer residence of the Gonzaga family, now seat of several national events. Nearby there is also the Parco Sicurtà, which is considered one of the 5 most beautiful garden parks in the world.
We are at 15 minutes from Mantua, 20 minutes from the Lake of Garda and Gardaland amusement park, 30 from Verona, whilst Milan and Venice are at approximately one hour and half by car.

Activities

The house offers bicycles, solarium, a little beach on the river and the park where it is possible to sight several species of animals and plants.
In the surroundings (20 minutes approximately) there are several golf clubs, the thermal park of Sirmione and of Colà of Lazise, the thermal swimming pools Airone di Goito.
Summer swimming pools are at few minutes and boats may be rented at the lake. Horse riding school is also near.
Several amusement parks may easily be reached: Gardaland, Caneva World, Cavour, Medieval Time.

Food, wine and crafts

The farm grows cereals and vines and produces IGT wines of the upper Mincio's area: Merlot Chardonnay, Chiaretto, Cabernet Sauvignon.
