Description
This country house was recently renovated as to greet visitors in a functional agricultural farm. Situated on a hill in the centre of the Lamone Valley, approximately 150 meters above sea level, it offers an astounding view of the three hills of Brisighella, on the Rontana mount and on the Romanic Pieve del Thò parish.
The farmhouses were renovated creating two completely independent apartments for the visitors. The first house is of the end of the 19th century while the second, of the mid 16th century, used to be a sheepfold of the estate belonging to the Spada Marquis.
- "Marrucca" house (150 square meters): 6 beds in three different rooms (2 twin rooms and a double), 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, entrance, living room and dining room.
- "Tamerice" house (135 square meters): 6 beds in 4 different rooms (2 singles, one double and one twin room), 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, entrance, living room and a dining room.
Both houses have a private garden. There is also a common garden in which there is a swimming pool (12x6 meters).

Surroundings
The property is, in its whole, approximately of 130 hectares spanning over the municipalities of both Brisighella and Faenza. It includes the homonymous villa and its vast park. The area is hilly or pre-hilly with altitudes varying from 30 meters above sea level in the area of Faenza to 160 meters above sea level in the area of Brisighella.

The Brisighella train station (along the Florence-Faenza route) is only 3 Km away. No changes necessary from Florence (1 hour 30 minutes) or from Faenza (10 minutes). Every day there are approximately 20 trains from both Florence and Faenza.

Food, wine and craftsThe farm's main products are cereals (wheat, barley, sorgho), pastures (alfalfa) and sugar beet. A small portion, 12 hectares, is kept as orchard (kiwi, persimmons, peaches, apricots). In the hills there are 10 hectares of vineyards (Sangiovese di Romagna, Albana di Romagna, Trebbiano di Romagna e Chardonnay) as well as olive groves (local variety of Brisighella and Ghiacciola which brings to the production of the "Brisighella D.O.P." extra virgin olive oil). You will likewise find meat (mora romagnola, "romagnola" veal, sheep/mutton), vegetables (local scallions, artichokes), cheese (formaggio di fossa di Sogliano and Talamello) and Comacchio eels. |
