Description

The Villa is at 1km from the railway station of Valenza, in the green country at foot of Monferrato's hills. Guests will inhabit the manor dating back to 1700, surrounded on one side by the rustic court and on the other by an 11acres centuries old park. This one contains vegetable species characteristic of the area and exotic ones added in XIX century, according to the fashion of the time. The atmosphere is that of an old village reorganised for modern exigencies.
There is also a precious chapel where religious ceremonies are still celebrated today.
Our guests are people who don't like hotel life and are looking for a quiet family circle. The one that may only be found in a house always used for this purpose by patricians who, in summer, left the city to find freshness and relax in their country house.
The rooms, furnished with antique furniture, are wide and full of light, all with private bathroom; there are single ones, double, triple and also two double ones inter-communicating with bathroom, ideal for families.
Breakfast is served in the huge dining room which, together with the living and billiard room is at ' disposition during the stay.

Surroundings

The place is an ideal base for excursions in the natural park of Po and Orba rivers, at 2km, and to visit Monferrato, with its many historic castles. This area, mainly in autumn, offers splendid opportunities to get to know and taste its typical and renowned eno-gastronomic products.
Vignale, with its Ballet season, the monumental historic city of Casale and the spa of Aqui Terme all are in a range of 25km from our house.
Being in the very centre of the triangle Genoa, Milan, Turin, from which we are only approximately 100km far, the place is ideal to visit the three cities. Genoa's aquarium is an experience not to lose for children and adults.

Activities

Beside relaxing, playing billiard and promenading in the park, at 3/4km you'll find a swimming pool, tennis court, a nine-holes golf field, horse riding school, bicycles for renting, sport shooting.

Food, wine and crafts

Monferrato is famous for its wines of excellency, among which Barbera, Grignolino, Freisa and Dolcetto, beside its famous typical gastronomy in which the most precious truffle stands out. Meats of certified quality, numberless types of cheese and cold cuts complete the frame of delicacies at disposition of the most hard to please connoisseurs.
