Description
The farm is situated in the heart of alfina plain, at approximately 550m.a.s.l. The agritoursm has been obtained in an ancient stone farm house carefully restored, which was already present in the maps of the area in late Renaissance period.
The house consists of 5 rooms and 5 apartments for a total of 24 beds and 12 bathrooms. The bedrooms are double or with twin beds.
Apartment La torretta: two rooms at first floor on two levels with living room, kitchenette, shower bathroom, double sofa bed in the living room.
Apartment Il cellaio: two rooms at ground floor with living room kitchenette, double independent access from garden,private bathroom with shower, double sofa bed in the living room.
Apartment Il Fienile:two rooms at ground floor with living room kitchenette, independent access from garden,private bathroom with shower, double sofa bed in the living room.
Apartments L'Alfina e la Cerqua: two rooms at first floor with living room, kitchenette, shower bathroom,
Apartament Il Greppello: one room at ground floor with kitchenette, independent access from garden,private bathroom with bath tub.
Apartments La Cerqua and il Greppello may be intercommunicating.

Surroundings
The farm is in an uncontaminated side of Alta Tuscia Laziale, at the border between Tuscany and Umbria, adjacent to the Natural Reserve of Mount Rufeno. The place is central in respect to a historic, artistic and cultural incredible heritage, whose elements are all reachable in less than one hour ((Orvieto, Pienza, Montalcino e la Val d'Orcia, Acquapendente, Pitigliano, Bolsena, Civita di Bagnoregio, Montefiascone). In addition many spa are in the surroundings (S. Casciano dei Bagni, Bagni S. Filippo, Bagno Vignoni), Bolsena lake is at 5km.. The centuries old stone farmhouse has been newly renovated and the local cuisine and wines are traditionally known for thei optimal quality.
How to reach us by public means:
By train get down at Orvieto scalo station, which is 18km from the agriturismo. From there by taxi or by bus for Torre Alfina-Acquapendente, or first for Castel Viscardo and then for Torre Alfina-Acquapendente. On request we can come to take you at Orvieto scalo.

ActivitiesIn the farm: didactic farm and daily hunting and fishing. On request we orginse trekkings also by quad between three regions (Tuscany, Latium and Umbria): from mount Rufeno to Bolsena lake, From Orvieto to Orcia' valley, in addition to historic-artistic trips to discover Etruscan and Medieval Tuscia. |
Food, wine and craftsOur farm produces extra vigin olive oil and honey, fruits and vegetables aof ancient varieties, breeds chickens, rabbits and geese to be cooked in wood oven or BBQ. Excellent cheeses and beefsteacks ma be bought in the surroundings. the area is famous for red wines, but produces very goor red wines as well At 1,5km a good restaurant we have an agreement with. |
