Description

The agritourism rises on the hills of the right bank of the Tiber, with view of the Sabina Mountains. The farm is made of two rural buildings whose characteristic differences allow for satisfying the diverse needs of guests. Both are surrounded by wide green areas.
The first building is a farmhouse made from an old medieval watchtower and from other adjacent buildings, all restored in 2001. There are 4 double rooms with private bath and a suite made up of two rooms at the top of the tower and a bathroom.
The second is an apartment made up of four double rooms, two shared bathrooms (one of which is accessible for handicapped guests) and a living area-kitchen with fireplace. It is well-adapted for nuclear families or small groups.
In the first building is the restaurant, which can hold up to 50 people and offers local dishes with our organic ingredients.
The 28-hectare farm allows guests to enjoy the surrounding nature even by walking among it, giving the possibility of admiring local flora and fauna.

Surroundings

The agritourism is located in Ponzano Romano.
The Abbey of Sant'Andrea in Flumine, founded in the 6th century, is located about 100 meters from the farm.
A few kilometers away are the Tiber Farfa Nature Reserve and Mount Soratte Natural Park. All small surrounding towns of Ponzano Romano are of medieval origin and have well-conserved historic centers, in particular Sant'Oreste was annexed to Mount Soratte Natural Park for its notable beauty. Calcata is also famous, a small town where cars cannot circulate, full of small artisan boutiques. In the summer months the small towns organize characteristic fairs and festivals.
Lazio Travelguide.

How to arrive by train: Line Fiumicino Airport - Orte: Connects the agritourism in very little time to the center of Rome and with the international airport. Get off at the station, "Stimigliano Scalo", which is located 5 km from the farm. On request, we can come pick up guests.

Activities

The Horses - On the farm horses have been raised for more than thirty years. Some of these animals that are particularly calm are available, on request, for meetings designed to get to know, especially for the young, the essential elements for the care and use of these animals.
Free time - On-site there are some marked paths for walking only, which lead to various indicated locations and simply equipped with resting points: ruins of a Roman castrum, groves, isolated oak trees, small rocks, etc.
Following along the paths, it is possible (with a little bit of luck) to observe wild fauna.
Available: mountain bikes, ping pong, badminton, kites.
Nearby there is a swimming pool open from June to September and an equipped field for sports fishing in the Tiber.

Food, wine and crafts

On our farm you can purchase seasonal fruit and vegetables. In our orchard we have apples, plums, apricots, and peaches. We also offer our clients honey and dried legumes, including chick peas and grass peas.
