Description

In an extremely tranquil zone, close to Sibillini and Laga National Park, rises the agritourism, surrounded by lush woods that offer an attractive and relaxing panorama.
The building, of great architectural value, dates back to the 1000's. It is made up of many lookout towers that have given life to what the historians define as "incastellamento" or battlements, or more simply, a fortified structure for defending the territory. In fact, the house reveals from up high on the hill on which it was built all of the valley and is protected from behind by a surfacing, dark sandstone rock chain that looks like a natural amphitheater.
The ancient structure is considered by some historians to be barracks of the Templari order, though tightly strengthened by the presence of a bas-relief discovered over an access portal depicting two knights and writing in Latin.
Three themed rooms: la caccia (the hunt), il bosco (the woods), l'aia (the farmyard), all with fireplace, welcoming, rich in warmth and simplicity like the scents and products of its territory. The decor in dark wood and wrought iron recalls the materials and attractiveness of past times, which have found shelter here.
All of the rooms have double bed, private bathroom, TV, and independent entrance. Two rooms have a third bed ("La Papera", the duck, and "Il Gallo", the rooster). One room, one the ground floor, can host disabled guests, with bathroom and entryway accessible, entry arch, and outdoor area with sun umbrellas.
A short distance away is a comfortable apartment "Il Sole", with independent entrance on a tranquil medieval little street. It is made up of a kitchen completely equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one with double bed and the possibility of an additional bed or crib, the other with two single beds, chest, wooden desk), a bathroom.
Romantic, candlelit evenings on the balcony of our agritourism are recommended to all guests: in front of our eyes falcons fly and the boundless panorama of the blue sky and the emerald green of the hills of the Marches.

Surroundings

A few minutes away from: the thermal baths of Acquasanta; Ascoli Piceno, city of art and culture (10 Km); Affida, the city of the tombolo (12 Km); Norcia, for lovers of nature, history, and prosciutto (30 minutes by car).
The sea is 20 min. away by car, the beaches of S. Benedetto del Tronto (25 Km), and Grottammare (10 km further north of S. Benedetto), where you can admire an attractive view and the marvelous liberty style villas.

Trekking and mountain bike routes like the excursion route Anello dei Sibillini: (www.sibillini.net). Also Mount Ceresa is two steps away from our agritourism. There is the possibility of reserving guided excursions in MTB.
Taking a swim in hot sulfur waters: natural pool with free entry at Acquasanta Terme, 5 minutes by car from the accommodation, and cave.
Visit to the hydraulic mill from the 1700's (Pompii Mill). Behind the facility is a small lake and a beautiful waterfall, ideal for swimming in the open air and wading in the course of the river.

Food, wine and crafts

The best of our organic production (vegetables, fruit, meat) will arrive at your tables to begin in the mornings, with homemade cakes and sweets sweetened with acacia and millefiore honey made by us. The menu is characterized for its freshness and the simplicity of its rigorously traditional dishes. A mix of Roman cuisine (Stracciatella-egg soup, Spaghetti all'Amatriciana-bacon and tomato spaghetti, Coda alla Vaccinara-bull tail, Straccetti alla romana-sliced meat, Involtini al sugo-meat rolls with tomato sauce, Carciofi alla Giudia-fried artichokes, Verdure ripassate in padella-pan fried vegetables) and Marches cuisine (Crostini caldi al tartufo nero e prosciutto di montagna-toasted bread with black truffle and prosciutto, Fettuccine ai funghi porcini-porcini mushroom fettuccine, Arrosto di cinghiale-roasted wild boar, etc.). To beautifully conclude the meal deserts with wild berries (blackberries and raspberries... family production), with chocolate, and with ricotta and also tarts and pound cake ... Buon appetito!!
