Description

An early 19th century country house, completely renovated, located in the province of Viterbo, north of Rome and at the threshold of the Lake Vico nature park.
Immersed in the greenery of the countryside, the location is ideal for passing some time learning about well-being and tranquility. It is surrounded by a hectare of land cultivated with olive groves and fruit trees.
Guests can choose to stay in two apartments, "Casa Lara" and "Casa Cristina" for longer stays, in two comfortable rooms with bed & breakfast service, or else in the campgrounds with their own tents.
- "Casa Lara" is an 80 mq. apartment, located in the inside of the country house. It has a private entryway reached directly from the garden and sleeps from 4 to 6 people. It is composed of 2 rooms (one with double bed and the other with twin beds), 2 bathrooms, kitchenette/dining area, living area with TV, sofa bed, private garden.
- "Casa Cristina" is a 70 mq annex of the country house and is composed of: 2 bedrooms (one with double bed and other with twin beds), 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower, kitchenette/dining area/TV, patio.
- "Appartment Ada-Letizia": composed by living room with kitchenette and fireplace, 2 double bedrooms (room Ada and room Letizia), 2 bathrooms, garden.
- The rooms "Ada" and "Letizia" have beamed ceilings, and all are decorated with antique furniture and paintings. For those staying in rooms, breakfast is served in a large room with fireplace and many windows from which you can admire the medieval bell tower of Capranica and our olive groves. This hall is available to all guests for watching satellite TV, for reading a book, and for playing cards. Guests are also welcome to use the barbecue, the swimming pool, the laundry room and iron, the garden, and our gym.

Surroundings

The surroundings offer a wide choice: at 15 min by foot is the medieval town of Capranica, at 10 km Lake Vico nature reserve famous for birdwatching and its variety of flora. The Etruscan necropolis of Tarquinia, the Renaissance villas of Caprarola and Bagnaia, the famous Papal Palace of Viterbo are all within arms reach and are easily to get to by car.
Staying here you could visit Rome, easily accessible not only by car but also by train and bus, which arrive and depart hourly from morning until evening, and they assure rapid and inexpensive (5.60 Euros round-trip) connection.

You can refresh you body in the pool or in our exercise room, take walks, bicycle, or ride horses. At Vico Lake nearby you can windsurf and canoe.

Food, wine and crafts

It is possible to taste local specialties on request (strozzapreti pasta, rabbit, wild boar, sausage) both at lunch and dinner.
Typical products of this zone are olive oil, wine, dairy products and candy made with hazelnuts and chestnuts; the owner can indicate where to buy such products in the area.
