Description

In the green Tuscan countryside, near the beautiful Etruscan city of Cortona and in the midst of countless cities of art you find our farm house.
The 18th-century owners' house is surrounded by two rural buildings, one of which has been accurately renovated by the present owners to create pleasant apartments with typical traditional materials, floors in terracotta tiles and ceilings with wooden beams. All 4 apartments (that sleep 4 or 6) have independent entrances, are furnished with antique furniture, are equipped with all that's necessary to make them efficient and functional, and have their own outdoor area with garden furniture.
Apartments 1 and 2 have a living room with kitchenette and double sofa bed, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with shower. Sleep 2+2.
Apartments 3 and 4 have a kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. Sleep 4+2.
The house has a 6x14 m. swimming pool, a spacious park, ping-pong, and play area for children. Moreover, for those who love sport fishing, the on-site lake is made available, and for those who love excursions, there are mountain bikes. There is also covered car parking and laundry facility.

Surroundings

The farm is inside a sheltered area far from urban noises but at the same time near to the numberless surrounding cities of art and religious traditions. Among the most famous Siena (60 km.) Gubbio (80km.) Arezzo (39km.) Firenze (110) km.), Pienza (40km.) Montepulciano (25km.), Montalcino (60km.), whilst the Trasimeno lake is only 12 km. far, and so on.
The Farm is at the foot of Cortona, which was once an important Etruscan centre and wich dominates from its 600 metres height a wide valley named Val di Chiana, where many archaeological sites are to be visited.

Activities

Inside the farm the swimming pool, ping-pong, children play area, lake for fishing and mountain bikes are at free disposal of guests.
In the environment at short distance there are riding stables, tennis courts, golf ground, and so on.
Fairs, medieval feasts, shows, concerts and events of all kinds go on more or less during the whole year in the cities and towns of the area.

Food, wine and crafts

Cortona's historic centre is crowded with numberless shops where to buy typical local products such as wines, extra-virgin DOP olive oil, cheese, salami, etc., or, if you prefer, following the "wine roads" it is possible to buy these products directly at the farms which produce them.
