An Estate where the art of good life is as ancient as the centuries old tower of its castle and where history and peasant culture make an ideal union with colours, perfumes and flavours of this land.
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful estates in Val di Pesa, dating up to XII century and for two centuries residence of grand dukes Strozzi.
Today around the castles in farm buildings we have 20 cosy apartments entirely reorganised and endowed with all modern comforts, though maintaining untouched the original Tuscan atmosphere. There are studios with kitchenette and two or three rooms apartments with living room and kitchen.
Two swimming pools with solarium, a large garden with fitness area and barbecue, are at guests disposition. Beside a top quality restaurant offers dishes cooked with our oil and to wash down with our valuable wines.
Moreover a park with game preserve and an area of the castle entirely dedicated to special events, marriages and meetings are only two of the many aspects of this prestigious and welcoming manor.

Surroundings

Here you are awaited by sweet Florentine hills, covered with olive trees and grape vines, woods and farmland dotted with 17th Century villas and farm-houses, all with the taste of recently pressed olive oil, must and of a simple industriousness. You can walk, visit the surroundings areas rich in nature, history, tradition, good food, but also in craftsmanship and art. With short trips , you may reach splendid cities of art as Florence, Siena, Pisa and Lucca, wander about among monuments, palaces, squares, churches, bell-towers, sighting paintings and statues, you can go as far as Volterra to discover ancient history, together with Etruscan people, and the art of alabaster. For fans of nature there is the wild sea of Castiglioncello's surroundings or the fashionable Versilia. Or you may reach the Apuanian Alpes peaks or the fresh woods in Abetone.

Activities

Two swimming pools completely sunk in the green and a fitness area are at guests' disposition. A typical country restaurant, guided visits to ancient cellars, cuisine and wine and oil tasting classes are ready for gourmets.
In the surroundings tennis courts, horse riding school, five-a-side fields and a 18 holes golf course, with whom the House has a special agreement for its guests.

In the restaurant in a warm and welcoming atmosphere you'll taste wine of our production matching with Tuscan cuisine dishes, prepared with top quality ingredients mainly grown or bred in the Farm itself.
For fans of eno-gastronomic tourism tasting and cuisine classes may be organised as well as guided tours of the historic cellars.
