Description

At 100m from the state road 26, the House in the middle of apple trees hosts the smallest B&B in the Valley, with only one double room with private shower bathroom, furnished with antique furniture.
The owners, fans of the mountain, may offer precious advise about the most suggestive excursion in the area, point out itineraries and/or accompany you.
At disposition of guests: tourist guides, lots of books and all the maps of Aosta Valley. To fans of the lace called “chiacchierino”  the lady of the house may teach the secrets of this ancient technique.
At morning you'll be spoiled by a tempting breakfast with the special sweets and cakes of the region.

Surroundings

Saint Pierre is in Dora Baltea's valley bottom, in front of the Great Paradise valleys, a few km from Aosta, which is called “Rome of the Alps” for its many Roman and Medieval monuments.
Saint Pierre is in a central position and very good roads and highways connect it with the main destinations of the area. This make of it an ideal place if you wish to know the Region in its different lights: naturalistic, Great Paradise's Park, historic and artistic, castles, museums and archaeological sites.

Activities

At home the lady of the house teaches the secrets of “chiacchierino” lace.
In a range of few km there are many exciting activities to practice: rafting along Dora Baltea (expert guides are available); trekking and hiking in Great Paradise Park valleys; the crossing of Mount Bianco (the highest of the Alps) by cable way.
In winter it is easy to reach mani ski resorts, it is possible, if you wish, to go skiing in a different place every day of the week.
In all the seasons there is nearby an indoor swimming pool  and our B&B has an interesting agreement with the Wellness thermal centre of Prè Saint Didier.

Food, wine and crafts

The typical products of Val d'Aosta have been influenced by the history of this area, which for centuries remained isolated because of the difficulties of communications. So its gastronomy remained unique and genuine. Among the main products of the area, to buy in the surroundings, the most interesting are lard, fontina cheese, chestnuts, apples and polenta (thick corn mush).
Also the delicious wines, produced with native tendrils, maintain the fragrances and flavours typical of all the fruits of this fierce and strong land.
