Description

The property is in Bagnolo del Salento municipality, in Otranto's hinterland.
The house was built on a wide land of the family covered by about 500 olive trees, many of which centuries old; in the same land rises an ancient country cottage, newly restores and enlarged, and many of the little typical local stone little buildings that were made for the use of farmers.
For guests, all in the new portion of the building: 4 double rooms with private bathroom, TV, air conditioning, safe, private verandah and a bi-local apartment made of bed room, living room with sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom. All rooms have finely restored period furniture.
At guests' disposition wide common spaces: a fitted kitchen, a BBQ outdoors and well maintained square before the building, where, on request, breakfast may be served or friend may gather to organise to spend the evenings in good company.
Our house, typical of rural hospitality, offers to its guests the opportunity to appreciate not only sun and sea, bu also the peace and the beauty of our countryside, enjoying relax or taking promenades both in our property and in the surroundings.

Surroundings

The property is in Bagnolo del Salento municipality at few hundreds metres from the village, in Otranto's hinterland, 30km south of Lecce and reachable by S.S. 16 Maglie-Otranto.
Otranto and Lake Salimini beaches may be easily reached by means of a hinterland county road also in top season. We are near to the destinations where the main Salento's summer events take place: the "Notte della Taranta- Night of Tarantula" (Melpignano, Km. 5), The "Festa della Municeddha- Feast of the little Nun" (Cannole, Km. 2), la "Festa te lu Mieru - Feast of Merum, the name ancient Romans gave to absolute wine" (Carpignano Salentino, Km. 6).

By bus: Buses Marozzi or SITA from Romae, Naples, Bari... To move across the county: buses of STP or of Salentoinbus.
By train: once in Lecce trains of South-East railway (FSE n°1 , FSE n°2, FSE n°3 ).
By air plane: To Brindisi or Bari, where to take buses or rent a car.
