Description

The B&B was born so that all could enjoy this unforgettable corner of the world situated at the feed of the attractive Cavargna Valley. It is located in a tranquil zone, in direct contact with nature. It is surrounded by the mountains and dominates Lake Lugano and the small alpine lake, Piano, of which there is a breathtaking view. Not far away is also Como Lake.
The house is next to, but totally independent from, the home of the owners. It is made up of two rooms with private bathroom and a shared hall.
Breakfast can be enjoyed inside or in the nice seasons, on the large porch outdoors.
The owners, Fiorella and Gigi, will be pleased to provide you useful information and itineraries for visiting and getting to know the zone.

Surroundings

The b&b is in the town of Carlazzo, a small center of the Menaggio Valley situated at 48l meters above sea level, immersed in the greenery of the south-east slopes of Mount Pidaggia. Piano Lake curves almost entirely into the borders of the town. To visit: Carlazzo Castle and San Pietro Castle, which are located on the hill near Piano Lake; the Romanesque San Giorgio Parish Church attributed to the brothers, Cristoforo and Niccolò of Seregno; Santo Stefano Parish Church, "La Pretura", building dating back to the second half of the 16th century, which must have been used as a prison.
To visit nearby: Carlazzo, Como and Lugano Lakes, Villa Carlotta, the Villas and Gardens of Bellaggio, the Villa Monastery of Varenna, Campione Italia.

Possibilities of walks, horse-riding, mountain biking, boat trips.
NAUTICAL SPORTS ON THE LAKES: sailing and rowing, windsurf and motor-boating, water-skiing and canoing, wakeboarding and kitesurfing. In Como you will find a seaplane piloting school. Lezzeno, in the province of Como, is know for its water-skiing schools, while the first basin of the lake is home to prestigious water-skiing competitions. It is also a leg of the world-famous Formula 1. Let yourselves be conquered by the adventure of going downhill in a natural toboggan, by the thrill of kitesurfing, and by the competition of a sailboat race.
CANYONING: Among the streams where is is done are Acquaduro in Valsassina, the Terlo in the Lariano Triangle, and the Boazzo near Lecco. We organize excursions complete with guide, transportation, and equipment.
CANOE AND KAYAK BOAT RENTAL: We offer courses for beginners and experts. Interesting day-trips in canoe that leave from the center and, by means of the Mera River, tributary of the lake, lead into the nature reserve of Piano di Spagna; from here you arrive at Mezzola Lake, oasis for birds and for hundreds of species of fish. Kayak and row-boat rental. Guided excursions with tour leader of Varenna-Bellagio-Comacina Island-Lenno-Varenna by means of the old Larian boat "Lucia". You can cross the lake by motorboat; there are also visits of the coast in rowboat.

Nearby there are typical restaurants with food made in the zone and varieties of fish from the lake, Valtellinesi specialties, many characteristic restaurants and pizzerias.
