Description

The Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic center of Casalborgon, called "Leu".
The house is a 17th-century country building, in brick, recently restructured with attention to detail and with high-quality materials.
The 6 rooms have private bathroom and autonomous heating and have different styles, colors, and fabrics: every room has a woman's name and a strong character which distinguishes it. The two attic rooms have air conditioning.
All rooms and bathrooms are accessible for those disabled, the building has an elevator, but the bathrooms are not equipped with sanitary fittings for the disabled.
Breakfast is served in a room with fireplace that also serves as a reading hall for guests with a little library available containing books in English and French, too, both of which are spoken by the owners.
The structure has a lovely flower garden available to guests and a marvelous panoramic swimming pool.

Surroundings

Caasalborgone is a little center situated at the doors of Monferrato and immersed in the green hills. Its geographical position is near Turin, Asti, Milan and Casale Monferrato. The road connecting Turin - Milan is a few kilometers away from the accommodation and allows you to reach both the city and the airport in half-an-hour.
From the house it is possible to organize excursions to religious locations (Vezzolano, Crea, Castelnuovo, Don Bosco, Santa Fede), archaeological sites (Fabbrica), fascinating towns (Cocconato).

Activities

The owners organize, on request, themed packages that range from shopping to courses on horse-riding and cooking; the structure collaborates with Ecowise for the development of new naturalistic packages.
At Casalborgone there are several events worth noting: a summer jazz session in the square of the historic center, two bicycle races, two town festivals. One of these is dedicated to the pea, vegetable cultivated in this zone and of high quality and given the qualification of d.o.p. (denomination of protected origin) this year.

Food, wine and crafts

The breakfast is made with products from the territory, homemade cakes and jams, fresh eggs, crushed ice drinks, and fresh fruit juices.
The house organizes visits to social wine cellars and to wine producers with wine tasting and the possibility to purchase.
Typical of the town and available for purchase on-site are the hazelnut cake and the pastries of Meliga. "Pisello di Casalborgone" (Casalborgone Pea) given the qualification of d.o.p. this year. There are also other products in the shops of the town, salami made following traditional techniques and products without conservatives.
