Description
The house is at the border of the village of Aci Sant'Antonio, in a quiet place with a beautiful vista on Etna Vulcan.All the rooms have private bathroom, air conditioning, TV and each one has its own portion of terrace where to relax or enjoy outdoor the rich traditional breakfast. The inside breakfast room gives access to an other common terrace for guests looking over the kitchen garden tended by the owner.
There is private parking for guests with a car.

Surroundings
The house is at only 3km from the beautiful Baroque town of Acireale, known for its Spa, for the most attractive of Sicilian Carnivals and for its many Baroque churches, from the Cathedral to the huge basilica of St. Sebastian, heart the spectacular Feast in honour of that Saint every year, January 20th.In 40 minutes by car you reach the Etna, the highest active vulcan in Europe, with its naturalist paths, millenarian lava flows and extraordinarily beautiful caves.
15 minutes for Catania, head town of the district, an historica centre wuth monuments as the Cathedral, Ursino Castle, Bellini theatre.
About 10 minutes, and you can reach the marvellous coasts of Ionio, the thinnest sands of the beach of Playa di Catania, the black rugged Cyclopes Coast, Acitrezza and the Natural Reserve of Fiumefreddo.
ActivitiesHiking across Etna tracks is the favourite sport for tourist. Or you may go by Jeep or by cableway, recently restored after the 2004 eruption. In winter skying is also possible in a charming surrounding.Night fishing in the sea, mainly for urban people, is also a unique experience. |
Food, wine and craftsThe House offers biological extra-virgin olive oil (also flavoured with red pepper or oregano) marmalade, orange flowers honey, lemon and orange liquor.Other renown products of the area are marzipan and pistach pasta, candy fruits. Finally the wines, white, red and fortified. |
