The region of Lazio is home to the grand city of Rome, but it is also full of villages and towns to visit. To the north of Rome you will find the fantastic Etruscan necropolises of Tarquinia, Tuscania, picturesque Bracciano Lake and Bolsena Lake, the city of Viterbo, the towns of Caprarola and Civita Castellana, the Garden of Monsters in Bomarzo: a territory similar to that of Tuscany but still little-known to tourism. To the east of Rome are Rieti and the Sabina with its hermitages monasteries, and sanctuaries. To the south, the "Castelli Romani", the city of Frosinone, the Oasis of NInfa, the clean sea of Circeo and of the Ulysses Riviera.
