Description
In an ancient Monastery of the XII century, entirely reorganised in a top level country house, we offer a refined and elite hospitality in 13 apartments of different typologies, endowed with all kind of comfort. All are furnished with antique furniture, have wide bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette, washing machine and dishwasher, some have private garden and fireplace as well.
A park with swimming pool and wide spaces within the estate are at guests' disposition to enjoy the uncontaminated beauty of the Tuscan country.
The hall of the restaurant is a typical XII century interior, with Medieval vaulted ceiling, and the cuisine offers the opportunity to taste typical local dishes.
All around the Monastery are landscapes up to arise emotions and to render the stay unforgettable. An environment stimulating relax and loving feelings.

Surroundings
The Monastery is sited in a strategic position amidst towns and villages of Etruscan and Medieval origin.
The sea is a few minutes away, with the beaches of Follonica, Punta Ala and Castiglione della Pescaia; in 40 minutes by car you'll be in Porto Ercole, Porto S. Stefano, Orbetello and Talamone, or in Piombino, with the possibility of visiting lovely Elba and Giglio islands; in less then one hour you'll be in Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni. Rome and Florence are 1 ½ hour away.
The nearest town, where you'll find supermarkets, a pharmacy, bank, etc., is Massa Marittima, which has a splendid medieval historic center.

How to arrive by public transportation:
The nearest train station is Follonica, but to arrive at the accommodation another means of private transportation is necessary.
ActivitiesThe opportunities you have during your stay are the following: open air swimming pool, trekking and green immersion; weekly entertainments and feasts, mountain bike rental, massages, dance classes, painting classes; as for horse riding, tennis and golf we have agreements with nearby structures.Moreover in the Monastery you have restaurant, barbecue, ping pong, five-a-side field, children play areas, botanic path immersed in the Mediterranean wood. |
Food, wine and craftsTypical Tuscan cuisine may be tasted in our restaurant, where you'll find all the typical products of the area. In our farm you can purchase extra-virgin olive oil of our production and exquisite local wines, as well as wellness products based on oil and grapes. |
