Description
The building is an old, entirely stone farmhouse situated at 760 meters above sea level at the top of a hill and immersed in a vineyard.On the upper floor there are four rooms available to guests, served by two bathrooms.
You will find natural decorations and organic cotton linens, from the towels to the sheets, and you will be enraptured by the warmth of the wood, by the lights and the colors.
On the lower floor the lounge heated by a large stone fireplace is the space dedicated for breakfast in the winter, while in summer a large patio and garden under large oak trees become the charming location for calm and relaxing organic breakfasts. Every morning you will taste homemade jam, honey made by our bees, "ferratelle" (typical cakes of Abruzzo), and homemade bread baked in our wood oven.

Surroundings
The farmhouse is an ideal departure point for numerous naturalistic excursions, being at the center between Mount Velino to the north and the Simbruini Mountains and the mountains of Abruzzo National Park to the south. In just a few kilometers of the highway you can even reach Gran Sasso National Park and the National Park of Majella.In addition it is a departure point for many cultural and archaeological visits, among which we point out: Tagliacozzo, the excavations of Alba Fucens and the Church of San Pietro, Santa Maria in Porcianeta Valley and the castles of Celano, Pereto and Ortucchio.

ActivitiesDeparting from the farm, it is possible to organize excursions on foot or in the company of our donkeys, on mountain bikes, or characteristic cultural excursions. In the library available to guests you can find maps, brochures, and itineraries for your excursions, and, on request, there is the possibility to be accompanied by a professional guide. Classic excursions of the zone are:Mount Velino - 15 min. by car, hours of walking 8, disl. 1600 meters. Gole di Celano - 20 min. by car, hours of walking 4. Excursions and walks in the vicinity include the National Park of Abruzzo, the Regional Park Sirente-Velino, and the Regional Park of Simbruini. |
Food, wine and craftsThe tasting of organic products that we use for breakfast is reserved for our guests: honey, jam, ricotta, cakes, homemade bread baked in our wood oven, eggs fresh from our hens.In the area it is possible to purchase many typical local products: optimal percorino cheese, saffron, wine, honey. |
