Description
The farm was originated at the beginning of XX century, when the marshy areas of Friuli near the Adriatic coast were reclaimed and transformed into fertile fields.
Surrounded by a wide country and by a natural Oasis (Marano's Lagoon), it's an ideal place for lovers of nature, of birdwatching or, simply, of quiet.
The four main farm buildings, at about 400mt from one another, have been reorganised between 2000 and 2006 and contain today 10 comfortable lodges of different dimension, up to host 2 to 8 persons. All have heating/air conditioning, TV Sat, wholly equipped kitchen or kitchenette. Some also have safe, telephone and dishwasher.
In the main building there is the reception, where a wide information pack about the area is available, and the beautiful hall for breakfast with its terrace, which in spring and summer are meeting point cherished by guests.
In the garden a swimming pool 6x12mt, open May to September. Ping pong table and badminton are available and MB may be rented. An ideal place for adults and youngsters.
At guests' disposition: barbecue, games and swimming pool, laundry (with fee), bicycles (to rent).

Surroundings
The farm is situated in the coast area of Friuli, at about 25km from the nearest beaches (Lignano, Bibione, Grado). It is situated near Marano's Lagoon, a very important area for birds and seat of a Regional Natural Reserve.In the surroundings we find some of the most important historical-artistic centres of the Region: Aquileia, Palmanova, Villa Manin in Passariano, and more, San Daniele with its most characteristic ham.
Venice and Trieste both are at about one hour (by car or by train), Udine is approximately at 40km. In one hour you also find the Friulans Dolomites, with their ski resorts, as well as the boundary with Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
ActivitiesIn the farm there are swimming pool, MB to rent, ping pong, badminton, bowls.In the surroundings, beside sightseeing, promenades by foot or by bike in the country and on the borders of Marano's Lagoon. Canoing in the lagoon or along the river Stella (you must have a canoe of of your own). Boat trips in the Lagoon. Tennis court at 7km, and at 25km, in Lignano, golf club, beach and termal baths. |
Food, wine and craftsThe farm produces and sells to its guests: DOC wines, apple juice, honey, season vegetables and fruits.We are included in “The road of wine and flavours” of Latisana, along which we can point out to you the best producer of goods typical of the area: wine, cold cuts and sausages, cheeses, etc. |
