Description

This agriturismo offers a typical familiar hospitality that will make you feel at home. It is situated in a site where quiet, silence and nature are the dominant features.
In a small end of XIX century farm building at the border of centuries old chestnut tree woods, entirely reorganised, it welcomes guests in 4 rooms (two doubles and two triple with double bed and single bed), all with private shower bathroom, TV and independent heating, for up to 11 beds.
Meals at fixed menu, only for guests and only on booking.
It is  a special place to relax in contact with nature and appreciate colours, perfumes and sounds far from city chaos. One of the house main features is the “natural terrace”, where it is possible to enjoy the panorama while reading a book, simply being lazy or painting or... why not... playing one's favourite instrument!

Surroundings

The geographic position of the house makes of it an ideal destination travelling to and from Tuscany, Rome and south of Italy. It is located on Apennine's ridge, between Modena and Bologna
The surroundings offer the possibility to visit the museums of famous car factories (Ferrari's in Maranello, Ducati's in Bologna, Lamborghini's, Maserati's), and much more...
We point out: the Park  Sassi di Roccamalatina, Monteveglio's Abbey Park, Contesole historic Park, the Etruscan town of Misa, Marzabotto's Etruscan museum, the Chestnut tree Museum.
Some distances: 45km away from Bologna, 62km from Modena, 89km from Florence, 97km from Ferrara.
Modenese intinerary: Maranello and Ferrari’s Gallery + Modena city centre (Piazza del Duomo, declared UNESCO World Heritage) +  visit of Acetaia,  to discover the traditional working process of the balasmic vinegar.
Bolognese intinerary: Bologna:the city centre, the pinacoteca, then churches, arcades…and why not a long walk along the flight of steps to reach the Colle della Guardia, famous for the shrine of the Virgin of San Luca.
Ferrarese itinerary: Ferrara can be reached in only one hour thirty minutes. The city is surely one of the most interesting of the region and offers to the visitor the possibility to explore the centre and the neighbourhoods (not too far from the Po delta) by bike, forgetting about traffic jam!

Activities

We organise guided trekking for small groups, demonstration of typical local cuisine, visits to a bakery and to a dairy producing Parmigiano Reggiano, tasting of local wines at the cellar.
In the surroundings: Olympic summer swimming pool at 2km; archery (the house has an agreement for it) at 6km; horse riding school at 6km; play areas for children, “Vita” track and mini-golf at 2km; lakes for sport fishing at 1km; golf course at 25km.
From June to October many eno-gastronomic fairs and folk events take place.

Food, wine and crafts

In the farm we produce vegetables, small red fruits (blackberries, raspberries and currants), nuts, plums and apples. You can buy jams made with fresh fruits and, if you like you may order a jam tart or a cake to bring back home.
In the surroundings:  Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, COD wines of Bologna's hills as Pignoletto, fresh pastas (tortellini, tortelloni, tagliatelle), tigelle (a special local bread), borlenghi (a sort of crêpes).
