Description

The Farm is 1km from the ancient Medieval village of Montecatini Val di Cecina, nestled on a hill dominating the Cecina river valley, in front of Volterra's “balze”, a very characteristic geological conformation.
Guests are hosted in 15 cozy lodges of several dimensions (of one-two-three rooms) obtained reorganising the old farm buildings, with terracotta tiles floors, wooden beams and frames and a simple period furnishing.

The House is fit also for groups, as it may host up to more than 50 persons in total.
Situated in a panoramic position, from which to enjoy the view of splendid uncontaminated woods, the House has a swimming pool, large green areas wit open air barbecue, ping pong, bowels, children play areas and five-a side.

Surroundings

The Farm is central in Tuscany, at few km from Volterra, the famous Etruscan-Medieval town, well known for alabaster manufacturing, at 20km from the Tyrrhenian sea coast of Cecina, Donoratico, Baratti.
From here the most beautiful cities of art as Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, and the mine archaeological areas of Larderello are easy to reach.
Fans of nature may explore the natural reserves of the high Cecina's Valley, Berignone e Monterufoli.

Activities

In the Farm swimming pool, ping pong, bowels and play area.
At 1km there is a small lake for sport fishing. Trekking tracks, tennis courts and horse riding school in the immediate surroundings.

Food, wine and crafts

The farm is of approximately 22 hectares around the farm house, with woods, grain fields and olive trees. But the owners also have 27 more hectares of grape vines nearby in the COD area of Montescudaio, from which they produce top quality wines.
The wines and the PGI oil may be bought in the farm.
