Description

The Farm House is not far from Rome, in a very ancient XIII century farm, that the noble family of Colonna used for breeding their horses.
Beside a wide range of rooms, the house is very known for its restaurant,  cosy and refined, where it's possible to taste the typical local specialities, as well as traditional rural dishes. Always together with top quality wines.
A luxuriant nature, the openness of landscapes, the proximity to some of the more important historic and artistic centres of Latium makes of it an ideal destination for week-ends and also for longer holidays.

Surroundings

It will be interesting to visit the nearby village of Paliano, fief of Colonna's family as well as the whole country around Frosinone, its Ducal Palace, the Collegiate church of St. Andrew. The village, that was under Colonna's family until 1556, when the Pope Paul IV ousted them, is all grouped around the Fortress, which has a double belt of surroundings walls up to resist enemy's attacks.
In the surroundings, at about 20km, there are Fiuggi, with its spa, the splendid historic centre of Anagni, with its beautiful cathedral, Subiaco, with its Benedictine monasteries, and Palestrina with the rests of the huge Roman temple.
As Rome is only 50km far, the House is also a good base to visit the Capital.
