Description

The Villa is a XVI century house, enlarged and reorganised in the XVIII by Architect Prada, very known in the area, who in Viterbo also designed three more villas and a palace in the historic centre of the town.
In 1999 we opened the B&B, that we made to save from decay this beautiful and ancient villa of the family, which had remained not inhabited for more than 7 years. So we decided to open it to guests who like to enjoy the tastes of an antique house, with frescoed halls, and maximum 8 guests.
An hospitality different from that of a classic hotel, in a cosy, intimate, friendly atmosphere were to feel at home.
In fact we were inspired by British country B&B and French Maison d'Hôtes. Here you will wake up in the morning hearing birds sing which flutter on garden horse chestnuts, instead of city traffic noises.

Surroundings

The Villa is in the immediate Viterbo's surroundings, an ideal base to visit Tuscia, the ancient Etruria with its many archaeological rests, but also other neighbouring destinations as Umbria (with the splendid city of art of Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi, Spoleto), the south of Tuscany (Siena, Arezzo, Florence, etc.) and, of course, Rome, which is only 75km far.
Viterbo's district also offers notable natural beauties (Vico's and Bolsena's Lakes, Cimini Mounts, natural parks, the sea, thermal areas), little historical towns full of charm and of monuments (Tuscania, Tarquinia, Civita of Bagnoregio, Caprarola, Calcata,etc.) and marvellous gardens as Villa Lante of Bagnaia, Orsini's Castle in Vignanello and Monsters' Park in Bomarzo.
