The house is located on the edge of the small town of Trausella, easily reachable by walking.
The architecture of Trausella has been preserved in order to conserve the aspect of mountain village and has the advantage to be located in the lowland surrounded by beautiful fields. Also the village has a small entertainment park.
The surroundings offer various type of excursion. An example is the “Ring of the Lakes” and the “shaking lands”, situated in an ancient peat bogs. It is a delicious path that runs through five lakes placed in the Morainic amphitheatre of Ivrea, framed by castles and mountains.

The Chiusella valley offers many typical restaurants where you can taste local delicatessen like polenta with game, polenta concia, cheeses and cold meats, Bagna Cauda, original dishes prepared with fine wild herbs, trouts, la Tôfeja, the Fagioli Grassi, the “Suppa at Coi”, the anchovy soup, the mixed fried dish at the Piedmontese style, vegetarian dishes and so on.
The rediscovery of dishes made with wild herbs picked up in spring time, has developed in Val Chiusella an initiative of great success called “El Sabat d’le Erbe" that takes place in April and May.
