Description

This very new and comfortable B&B is located 2 minutes from the center of the Matera Rocks.
It is made up of four rooms, which are accessed by means of a large common living area, where a rich breakfast is served.
The environment is tranquil and silent, and this makes for a pleasant and relaxing stay, hopefully in the shade of the fresh pine tree or playing ping-pong in a large covered area, usable as a garage for bicycles and motorcycles. The vast surrounding private area is the ideal base for those who love cycling tourism and for a resting place for camper-trailers.
Guests will enjoy a romantic panorama when through the pines of its B&B notice Mounts Picciano and Timmari, as well as the dam of San Giuliano and the hills of Miglionico and Montescaglioso.

Matera is a location that has always been inhabited, where it is easy to revisit the story of Man from the Paleolithic era to today, from neolithic villages to the vast urban fabrics of Civita and Sassi. "La Gravina", "La Murgia" and the over 120 rupestrian churches with Byzantine frescoes make this place a unique and one-of-a-kind habitat, where Mankind has known how to use the scarce resources of the territory without destroying it, but instead integrating the two. Some great Masters of cinema have set their films in this attractive environment; for its uniqueness, it was the first site in the world declared as "cultural landscape" by UNESCO.
