Description

In the village of Diano di Scigliano, the building dates back to the beginning of XIX century. Since 1934 to 1993 it was a wood stove and made bread for the whole village and the surrounding area. Now restored and adapted hosts our B&B.
There are 4 comfortable rooms (3 have private bathroom) and breakfast room with satellite TV. One of the room is also for disable. The breakfast may also be served in a wide terrace enjoying a splendid panorama of the valley below, which is also at guests disposition to take sun in warm days.
To relax in contact with nature is also possible in the garden and vegetable garden above. Car parking is just adjacent.
We will be be only too glad to help you discovering a scarcely known environment, to give advice about places less known but extremely interesting for nature and art and to provide you with informative printed matter.

Surroundings

Scigliano's village, in Savuto's river valley, is situated between see and mountains: at approximately 30-40min from Sila's natural Park, from Cosenza, the capital city of the county, from Tyrrhenian sea and the international airport of Lamezia Terme.
Among the many historical monuments of the area, we point out the Roman bridge (approximately 10min from our house) and the rests of the huge Cistercian abbey of Corazzo (30min).
Among the several villages and towns of historical-architectural interest (with distances variating of 10 to 40min): Carpanzano, Rogliano, Aiello Calabro, Cleto, Amantea, Fiumefreddo, Cerisano, Cosenza, Rende.
