Description

The b&b is situated in a small building inside a 10.000sm garden/park on the border of the small Marta river, bayou of the nearby Bolsena Lake. It consists of two double room with independent bathroom for each, adjacently a comfortable living room with satellite TV and a shadowy verandah are in common to the two.
The rooms are very nicely furnished.
The peculiarity of this place is to be strictly in contact with the running waters of a non polluted river, which also irrigates the splendid garden/park, which Mirella's creativity and constant care rendered unique of its sort. It contains many hundreds of varieties of plants and has many picturesque and enjoyable corners.

Surroundings

The b&b is situated in a central position in respect to numberless destination worthy visiting: only 1km from Bolsena lake, 25km from Viterbo, an interesting medieval centre, and from its spa. At 35km from Tarquinia, the sea and the wonderful Orvieto, with its Cathedral and the Etruscan necropolis, 10km from Tuscania, 100km from Rome, 80km from Perugia.
Beside it is near to several natural parks as Cimini mounts, mount Rufeno and mount Amiata, and to several very important monuments such as Villa Lante in Bagnaia, Villa Farnese in Caprarola and the famous Monsters Garden in Bomarzo...

Activities

It is possible to take regularly thermal baths and treatments, visit several archaeological sites, to walk, hike, take lake baths, make trekking and bike excursions (bikes hired at the b&b), in a still considerably un-polluted environment.
But the very peculiar occasion you have in this place is to learn from the gentle owner, Mirella, many things about plants, gardening and park keeping and, if you wish, also to practice gardening yourself under her skilful guide.

Food, wine and crafts

In the area you can find a lot of excellent products. Cheese, extra-virgin olive oil, very fresh fish, famous wines such as Montefiascone's Est Est Est, Gradoli's Aleatico, legumes and vegetable. The owners will be glad to pint out to you where to find them to taste and buy.
