Le Marche region is famous for the marvelous cities of art of Urbino, cradle of the Renaissance and UNESCO heritage, Fabriano, Jesi, Loreto, Recanati, Urbania, Macerata, Fermo, and Ascoli Piceno. To visit are also the towns of Visso and Sant'Angelo in Vado and the monastery of San Leo. For those who love nature we recommend the parks of the Rossa Ravine and Sibillini Mountains, the spectacular Frasassi Caves, the Furlo Ravine. Those who love the sea will appreciate the Conero Riviera, near Ancona, with the beaches of Senigallia, Portonovo, Stirolo, Pesaro, Porto San Giorgio, and San Benedetto of Tronto. Here you will also find the Republic of San Marino: the smallest and oldest republic in the world.

For sleeping in the Marche region, we recommend renting an apartment or a room in an agritourism. The country houses and bed and breakfasts of the Marches, as well as the vacation houses, are well-priced and charming; they often have swimming pools and a restaurant in which tasty typical cuisine is served.
